A kudan (9th Dan, or 9th degree black belt) celebration was held for Sensei Yosh Senda at the Lethbridge Lodge in August. Many former and current students traveled from across Canada to attend the event which was organized by Judo Alberta. Mr. James Kendrick emceed the night which was full of laughs and stories shared by those who have known Sensei through the years. Jane Senda put together some wonderful DVD presentations, one featuring club black belts and the other chronicling Sensei Senda’s personal history. The evening was a big success and everyone had a great time. Mr. and Mrs. Senda would like to express their appreciation for a lovely evening.
