The 2007 Kagami Biraki/Family Day and Open House was held at the Lethbridge Kyodokan Judo Club Dojo on Sunday, January 14, 2007. Kagami Biraki, which translates as "polishing the mirror" is a chance for judoka of all ages and ranks to "look into the mirror" and examine what they have accomplished in the previous year and think about how to improve themselves in the coming year. It is also a time to demonstrate to your family what you have learned in the last year - although it seems like, for several families now, once all the judoka have stepped on the mat, there is no one left in the audience.
