A contingent of local judoka traveled to San Francisco for a day of Ju No Kata training with Miss Fukuda and then to San Jose to compete at the Fukuda International Kata Championships. Julia Lindeman and Mika Senda put forth an excellent effort, picking up a bronze medal in the very competitive division. Also competing were Jennifer Parker and Raquel Austin, Vickie Nakagama and Florence Senda, and Joanne Lavergne and Jane Senda.

In case you missed it on your first reading, that makes 3 generations of Senda women competing (against each other) at the same competition and in the same category! As you can tell from the additional pictures, a great time was had by all, and there is much talk of attending a week-long training camp next summer.
